Why Do Airline Pilots Want To Leave?

Airline job not so fun after some time.

When most experienced airline pilots talk about being an airline pilot there is not a lot of excitement. Most say it is better than sitting behind a desk. Many pilots say that the job is not too bad. I hardly ever hear an experienced airline pilot sound very excited about being an airline pilot. To new pilots or non-pilots this sounds very odd.

Sure being an airline pilot is better than a lot of jobs. I think it should be a great job but airline management and the structure of the industry can really take a lot of fun out of being an airline pilot. Why do so many pilots seem to settle for second best?
